PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT

Players are the most important people in the sport. Playing for the team, and for the team to win, is the most fundamental part of the game. But not winning at any cost - Fair Play and respect for all others in the game is fundamentally important.

This code focuses on players involved in top class football, nevertheless the key concepts in the code are valid for players at all levels.

Obligations towards the game:-
A player should

·Make every effort to develop there own sporting abilities in terms of skill, technique, tactics and stamina
·Give maximum effort and strive for the best possible performance during a game, even if his team is in a position where the desired result has already been achieved
·Set a positive example for others, particularly younger players and supporters
·Avoid all forms of gamesmanship and time wasting
·Always to the best interest of the game, including where publicly expressing an opinion on the game and any particular aspects of it, including others involved in the game.
·Not use inappropriate language.

Obligations towards one’s own team:-
A player should

·Make every effort consistent with fair play and the laws of the game to help there own team to win
·Resist any influence which might, or might be seen to, bring into any question his commitment to his team winning

Respect for the laws of the game and competition rules:-
The player should

·Know and abide by the laws, rules and spirit of the game, and competition rules
·Accept success and failure, victory and defeat equally
·Resist any temptation to take banned substances or use banned techniques.

Respect towards opponents:-
A player should

·Treat opponents with due respect at all times, irrespective of the result of the game, there race, colour or religion
·Safeguard the physical fitness of opponents avoiding violence and rough play, and help were practicable and safe to do so injured opponents.

Respect towards match officials:-
A player should

·Accept the decision of the match officials without question
·Avoid words actions which may mislead a match official
·Show due respect to match officials

Respect toward team officials:-
A player should

·Abide by the instructions of there coach and team officials, provided they do not contravene the spirit of this code
·Show due respect towards the team officials of the opposition

Obligations towards any supporters / parents:-
A player should

·Show due respect to supporters and parents or either team.

Club rules

All players will:-

1.Wear appropriate safety kit / shin guards etc will be worn on match days and at training
2.Remove or tape up all jewellery including necklaces, earrings and watches
3.Make coaches / managers aware of any injuries from the previous week
4.Pay registration fees prior to the commencement of the season
5.Pay match and training fees on a weekly basis failure to do so could result in your becoming unavailable for selection on match days and also unable to take part in training.
6.Inform coaches / managers of unavailability to play or train with as much notice as
7.possible
8.Meet as arranged on match days and at training
9.Take an active part in all aspects of training and match days as requested by coaching staff including warm ups and downs (unless physical impairments prevent you from doing so), failure to comply could result in termination of your registration with no financial refunds.
10.Players who are disruptive will be asked to leave.
11.If entrusted with kit, make sure that it is washed and kept safe and handed back when required to do so
12.Leave the training ground and match day venue in an appropriate manner
